Appleseed and Rifleman Radio

Appleseed, Combining History and Marksmanship.

Appleseed is a nationwide project of rifle marksmanship clinics designed to foster an appreciation of the real struggle America has always faces to keep Liberty alive.

Rifleman Radio is an outreach program to spread the word about the Revolutionary War Veterans Association (RWVA), and since the struggle for Liberty is ongoing, all Americans are eligible for membership in the RWVA.

Your author and his son attended an Appleseed event last winter near Red Bluff. The course was challenging, the history enlightening, and the people enthusiastic. Do yourself a favor and become acquainted with Appleseed and the RWVA. You will be glad you did.

Today we take time to remind one another of our deep respect and admiration for each of you who stood in our stead, risked all, and created a world where we can pursue our happiness, exercise our liberty, and be secure in our property.

To all Veterans Del Norte News, and the people of Del Norte County who cherish essential liberty humbly would like to say: Thank you.

Del Norte Residents Identify Thieves Vehicles

A security camera in a local home caught this photo of a vehicle that matches the description of the vehicle the Del Norte County Sheriff's office is looking for in a rash of robberies. It was escorted by a Black Toyota car that has been seen working with this vehicle.

Face Book has been alive with reports of these two vehicles as they are spotted in various areas of Del Norte County. Residents are wondering why the pair operating the vehicles and breaking into our homes have not been apprehended yet.

With the ongoing American Depression eating into our livelihoods, most Del Norters, like most Americans, have come to realize that we can not afford to let our property be taken, and we know that people desperate and uncaring enough to steal in broad daylight are very likely to hurt or kill someone, probably sooner rather than later.

A meeting is being held on Monday night at the Del Norte County Fairgrounds to demand answers to Law Enforcements slow response to the problem.

Pacific Shores - State of California Guilty as Charged

April 15, 2011
PRESS RELEASE-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Contact: Tom Resch, PSPOA president, (818) 780-0200
Kelly T. Smith, owners’ attorney: (916) 442-2019
COURT FINDS PACIFIC SHORES PROPERTY OWNERS
CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS VIOLATED BY STATE FISH & GAME AND
COASTAL COMMISSION FLOODING
SACRAMENTO—The state of California violated the constitutional property rights of property owners at the Pacific Shores subdivision, north of Crescent City, when it instituted a “lake management regime” that allows Lake Earl to rise to levels which flood the private property, according to a decision Thursday in Sacramento Superior Court.
Judge David De Alba’s ruling vindicates the struggle of property owners at the sub-division, who have long complained that the state was flooding them out of their property to turn the entire subdivision into a nature preserve. The state and federal constitution require that “fair
compensation” through eminent domain procedures is required for such damages.
“The judge’s findings reflect what the Pacific Shores Property Owners Association has said for years—the state has acted with a total contempt of citizen rights in its management of Lake Earl,” said Thomas Resch, president of the PSPOA, who joined the organization to bring the suit. Additional Pacific Shores owners have filed a further suit on the same grounds.
Throughout the legal battle, the state of California continued to throw up every possible obstacle to the property owners, challenging the lawsuit for years with preliminary motions. The trial lasted most of a month. The judge found both the California Department of Fish & Game and the California Coastal Commission “substantially participated” in the purposeful flooding that resulted after a 2005 “Lake Earl Management Plan” and supporting environmental impact report were adopted.
The case now proceeds to value the damage to the property resulting from the flooding, again in Sacramento County Superior Court.

Del Norte Safety Alert - Theives in a Blue Datsun Truck

Thieves in a Baby Blue Datsun Truck -

On Saturday two local thieves were caught stealing scrap metals. Sadly the value of scrap is so low that the Sheriff's Office did not have the resources to go after them.

The two were discovered on Lake Earl Drive just South of Vipond Drive. They gave a cover story, lied about their names and fled. The scrap metal owner gave the materials to a scrap yard to remove the temptation once it was discovered what they had really been up to.

The two were seen an hour later cruising by the site of the theft attempt. They evaded followers, but were later seen at a gear shed one block west of the intersection of Washington Blvd, and Northcrest Drive.

The vehicle is very easily identified. It is an old baby blue Datsun two wheel drive truck. One of the occupants may be a Mr. Pressler, and the other may be a Mr. Rankin.

If you see this truck anywhere near your property or any place you care about, take the time to find out what they are up to. According to sources in the community they often sell scrap metals. they may be after something of yours right now.
